Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu has urged elders to uphold the national values that unite Kenyans as one community. Irungu urged the elders to lead in the fight against vices such as alcoholism, drug abuse and crime.
Irungu was speaking during a national council of elders meeting at a Nanyuki hotel on Friday. Council chairman Phares Rutere praised Laikipia leadership saying it is an ideal example on how the county government and national government should work.
