Kenya: Nandi Officials Considering Legal Option Over County Boss Standoff

Nandi Athletics Kenya delegates are apparently considering legal redress in efforts to block the imminent return of embattled branch chairman Abraham Mutai who, it is said, enjoys support from national Athletics Kenya chairman Isaiah Kiplagat.

The delegates expressed disappointment at the AK chairman's position of rallying behind Mutai after the branch had apparently replaced him with former Team Kenya Olympic team captain and Beijing Olympic Games 800m gold medalist Wilfred Bungei. The Nandi officials based their decision on the court of law conviction of Mutai on a count of incitement last year.
