As the abduction of the Chibok girls enters its fifth month, the federal government has called for a critical assessment on the impact of the security meetings towards the safe rescue of the girls, who have remained in captivity, and towards stemming the increasing tide of attacks in some parts of northern Nigeria.
This is as it noted that there are no quick fixes to the scourge of terrorism, which has since informed the decision for a long-term strategy to tackle it.
