Gambia: Development Forum to Focus On 'Closing Gender Gap'

A Development Forum to be organised by the Office of the Vice President in collaboration with partners including Community Based Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, public and private sector and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The forum is billed to take place on 10th September 2014 in Banjul on the theme "Closing the Gender Gap-the Realities in The Gambia."

The main focus of the forum will be economic empowerment of women, especially women in agriculture, a press release sent to this paper has disclosed.
