Nigeria: Boko Haram Insurgency - Davis' Revelation On Ihejirika and Sheriff

Davis should be invited by the federal government to substantiate his claim; because, like earlier said, agent provocatuer or fifth columnists could be at work. It is not enough for Ihejirika and Sherif to deny their involvement. We believe that it is only through an inquest that the government can get to the root of this insurgency and, as well, prove the innocence or complicity of these individuals.

The news heralded it like horricane as it blew across the lenght and breadth of the country. Nigerians were utmostly shocked to hear that the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, was one of the sponsors of the bedeviling Islamic sect, Boko Haram. The retired army general was named alongside the former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, by the Federal Government contracted Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, who was negotiating the release of the abducted 274 Chibok girls.
