Nigeria: PDP Stakeholders Want Udo Udoma for Governor

Uyo — As preparation for party primaries gathers momentum, some politicians in Akwa Ibom are rooting for Senator Udo Udoma to occupy the state's exalted office as governor.

The Abuja front of Akwa Ibom indigenes want him for the office as compensation to his father, Sir Egbert Udoma Udoma, the former Ibibio patriarch and a former Chief Justice of Uganda for his contributions and roles towards the creation of the then South Eastern States, the creation of the then Cross River State, and the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
