A former tutor of St. John's School, Sekondi, has reportedly called for the scrapping of the Basic Education Certificate Examination because, to him, "it has become a major impediment of access to secondary education."
The ex-tutor, Prince Hamidu Armah, currently a UK-based Ph.D Mathematics Education candidate of University of Aberdeen, is instead calling for a "comprehensive education system in the country."
