Liberia: National Budget Experiences Over One Million Deficit

The Government of Liberia may experience a shortfall of more than a hundred million United States Dollars of the national budget as a result of the ongoing Ebola crisis.

According to the Co-Chairman on Ways, Means, Finance and the Budget at the House of Representatives, the shortfall is due to the closure of major revenue-generating institutions, including companies in the country because of the Ebola situation.
