press release

Cairo September 14, 2014 The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI), deplores the act of the authorities on kicking out a delegation from Basco from the city of "Dakhal" on Thursday September 11, 2014. On September 11, 2014 kicked out a delegation from Basco; represents Scapina organization. The delegation included "Ani Lhasa Garmindia and José Ramón Zabaraa" from "Dakhla" city, while they were paying a visit to Western Sahraa to know the situation of Human Rights there. The authorities toled the delegation that they aren't welcome and deported them from Akadeer. It is worth to mention that isn't the first time, as the number of international and rights' observers were kicked out by the authorities since last April by "40" observers. ANHRI said that "the persistence of the authorities related to exposure to the activists and rights' defenders in addition to kicking them out of country prove the presence of violations against human rights in these zones". ANHRI demands the authorities to stop the exposure to the activists and rights' defenders or to kick them out. The authorities must respect human rights and allow freedom of expression in the country, and thus it won't have any concerns related to the entry of intentional observers and rights' defenders to review the current situation.
