Nigeria: With 23.5 Percent Stake, Qnb Is Now Largest Shareholder in ETI

In continuation of its international expansion and growth strategy, the Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced its acquisition of an additional 11 per cent stake in Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI).

A statement from QNB said the bank acquired 2,047,877,260 ordinary shares of ETI yesterday. This brings the total investment by the Doha-based bank in ETI to 23.5 per cent, thereby making it the largest investor in the pan-African bank.
