Somalia: Two Die After Quarry Collapse

Two quarry workers died after quarry collapsed. According to the chairperson of the Cooperation of Quarry Workers Mr. Mohamud Mohamed the quarry which collapsed is near Keydsaney Hospital in Mogadishu's Kaaraan District.

Mr. Mohamud told Dalsan Radio that the incident happened early on Monday. Rescue teams said it took them two and half hours to reach the bodies of the two and to recover them from the rubble. The chairperson of the Cooperation of Quarry Workers requested from the government and the authorities of Banadir Regional Administration to provide the quarry workers protective equipment.
