Sudan: South Darfur - Kalma Head Urges Lifting of State of Emergency

Kalma Camp — The head of Kalma camp in Bielel locality, South Darfur, has requested the lifting of the state of emergency, imposed after the displaced massively protested on 4, 5 and 6 September against the repeated raids by government forces on the camp.

Sheikh Ali Abdel Rahman El Taher, the head of Kalma camp, told Radio Dabanga that he has requested the Bielel locality commissioner to lift the state of emergency, and the curfew, from 8 pm until 6 am, imposed on the locality.
