Maiduguri — Former governor of Borno State Ali Modu Sheriff yesterday alleged that it was the state government that hired the Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, to accuse him of sponsoring the Boko Haram sect.
Davis recently accused Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lt General Azubuike Ihejirika, of funding the Boko Haram.
