Mozambique: PM Opens Conference On Communication and Development

Maputo — Mozambican Prime Minister Alberto Vaquina argued in Maputo on Wednesday that defective dissemination of information by the mass media can damage the fight against poverty and have a negative impact on the country's economy.

Speaking at the opening of a conference on “Communication and Development” organised by the public television company, TVM, and by the daily paper “Noticias”, Vaquina urged the press to communicate “with responsibility”.
