Nigeria: Emergency Operations Centre on Ebola Trains Journalists on Disease Reporting

THE Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at the weekend held a workshop for Nigerian journalists where they were taught the fundamentals about Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and the best way of reporting the outbreak.

Also facilitated by World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF officials, and held at the Ebola EOC, Yaba, Lagos state, they were trained on avoiding panic reporting, thought the useful terms for reporting the virus, the challenges that comes with the reporting among others.
