Nigeria: Market Women Protest Alleged High Taxation in Cross River

Calabar — A law to harmonize taxation in Cross River State will soon be in place, just as over 30 women from Watt Market in Calabar, on Tuesday, took to the streets protesting what they called, 'high taxation' by various government agencies and the local governments.

This is coming on the heels of plans by the state government to harmonise taxes in the state.
