MOST governors kept off rallies to launch the collection of signatures for the Pesa Mashinani referendum campaigns yesterday. The Council of Governors chairman, Isaac Rutto, was joined by two of his colleagues Paul Chepkwony (Kericho) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega) during their second rally at Likuyani, Kakamega county.
Nominated Senator Daisy Nyongesa and Likuyani MP Enock Kibunguchi attended the rally. Rutto said they will not be intimidated into backing down from the referendum campaigns because the counties need to be strengthened through proper funding.
