Lilongwe — Genetically Modified-GMO Cotton under trial at five fields in the country is now at harvesting stage, with lead Professor Moses Kwapata confirming that they have already harvested three of the five trial fields.
Although they are yet to compile data to determine GMO cotton's quantitative advantage over the conventional cotton, Professor Kwapata told Malawi News Agency on Tuesday that GMO cotton had performed much better in the fields.
