Nigeria: Unesco Launches E-Learning Tool Project

THE FIRST phase of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) General History of Africa 'Women in African History' project has been launched. It featured Nigeria's Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti (1900-1978) as one of the eight personalities in the project.

A statement signed by Temilade Denton of the organisation's Information and Communication Sector said: "It is an e-learning platform that uses multimedia like digital comic strips, pedagogical content, soundtracks, downloadable PDF files, and quizzes to showcase a selection of women figures that played a decisive role in the history of Africa and of the African Diaspora in different fields, including politics, art, environmental preservation, among others.
