Mozambique: Frelimo Confident of Victory in Chimoio

Maputo — Mozambique's ruling Frelimo Party is urging the electorate in the central city of Chimoio to vote for the party and its presidential candidate, Filipe Nyusi, in order to guarantee accelerated development of the city and of the entire country.

“We are certain that the entire population, particularly in Chimoio city, will vote en masse for Frelimo and for Filipe Nyusi. That will guarantee that Chimoio remains on the path of its deserved development”, declared Jose Saize, the Frelimo spokesperson in the city, speaking on Saturday at the end of a march of Frelimo members and supporters through the streets of Chimoio.
