Nigeria: Why We Allowed Election, By Danagogo

Abuja — DESPITE series of court orders from the Chris Giwa camp in their bids to stop both the August 20 NFF congress and Tuesday's election into the board of the Nigeria Football Federation in Warri, the Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Tammy Danagogo, Tuesday gave reasons why the commission decided to allow the election to take place as ordered by World Football governing body, FIFA.

Danagogo who spoke Tuesday after playing host to the Tanzania ambassador to Nigeria, Daniel Ole Njoolay, in his office, stated that the commission was following all events in the country's football house, adding that it would address them at the appropriate time.
