The Somali government has pledged to provide consistent rehabilitation services for all young men who defect from al-Shabaab and seek amnesty, Minister of Information Mustafa Duhulow said Sunday (September 28th).
The government has seen a sharp increase in the number of defectors from al-Shabaab since the launch of Operation Indian Ocean and the killing of al-Shabaab leader Ahmed Abdi Godane.
