Algeria-UNDP - Six Associations Benefit From Micro-Financing for Environmental Projects

Algiers — Memorandums of understanding on environmental projects funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) as part of the micro-financing programme of non-governmental organizations were signed, Tuesday in Algiers, between six Algerian associations and the Facility, under the aegis of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The signing ceremony was held at Foreign Affairs Ministry, at the wrap up of an international workshop on GEF's financing mechanisms, chaired by Director of Environment and Sustainable Development at the ministry Latifa Benazza and the UNDP's Resident Representative in Algeria and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Algeria Cristina Amaral.
