Nigeria: Egypt Air and Citizen Abdul-Azeez's Torn Passport

Much as this Newspaper wants to commend the Committee's effort, it is expedient that the airline gives adequate compensation; more so, because the young man has suffered unquantifiable loss from the incident, ranging from mental torture, time lost on his education, and finances

Recently, it was reported that Egypt Air allegedly engaged in maltreatment and wrongful deportation of a Nigerian medical student, Joshua Kunle Abdul-Azeez, studying in Ukraine. His international passport was said to have been torn by the airline officials before he was disgracefully hauled back to Nigeria. Following the reports and a petition by Abdul-Azeez to the House of Representative, The House Committee on Diaspora chaired by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, waded into the matter.
