Algeria: Non-Communicable Diseases - Multisectoral Plan Against Risk Factors Approved

Algiers — The multisectoral national plan for integrated fight against risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) 2014-2018 was approved Thursday by representatives of the various stakeholder institutions, allowing the beginning of the operational phase.

The mainlines of "fight against smoking", "food and nutrition", "physical activity, sport and active mobility" and the "coordination framework," are the backbone points of the multisectoral plan on the fight against risk factors of NCDs, which returned during a workshop held at the National Institute of public Health (INSP).
