NEW talent Richard Bartale won the men's 12km Kimbilio Hospice cross country over the weekend at Chebaiywo village in Uasin Gishu county. Bartale beat over 80 runners to come home first in 35.08.2, trailed by upstarts Marius Mutai and Benjamin Kiprop who clocked 35:32.0 and 35.42.7 for second and third slots respectively.
Barnabsa Kipyego came fourth in 35:45.4 while Daniel Kemoi 35:56.19 closed the top five finishers. "I am happy for my victory and I want to focus on the cross country season," Bartale said.
