Tanzania: Ministry Embarks On Measles Vaccination Campaign

THE Ministry of Health and Social Welfare through the Immunisation and Vaccine Development programme will conduct an integrated one-week Measles- Rubella Vaccination Campaign from October 18 through October 24, targeting children aged between 9 months to 14 years.

The National Immunisation Programme Manager, Dr Dafrossa Lyimo, told stakeholders in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the campaign focuses on ensuring that a large number of children are been immunised as a way of promoting their safety from various infections caused by measles.
