Algiers — Algerian troops arrested 20 alleged criminals attempting to cross the border with Niger, the defence ministry announced on Monday (October 6th).
The Sudanese and Chadian nationals were riding two vehicles and six motorbikes that were seized, the ministry said in a statement. The operation was carried out as part of "the fight against smuggling and organised crime", it added.
