Tanzania: Forest Officers Set to Undergo Military Training

Handeni — FOREST guards will undergo military training through the National Service to work professionally, to control encroachers including pastoralists and timber harvest on the forest's reserve of Gole and Kitumbi in Handeni District.

Handeni District Commissioner (DC), Mr Muhingo Rweyemamu, said on Saturday that the training would sharpen skills of the forest guards hence to improve patrols on forests, saying the training would also improve nationalism.
