Malawi: Stake Holders for Quick Adoption of DRR Policy

Salima — Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) implementing Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) interventions in disaster prone districts have appealed to government to quickly adopt the National DRRM policy.

Speaking in Karonga district on Friday during the panel discussions prior to the International DRRM day celebrations Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (Cadecom) officer for Karonga, Franklin Msiska said that the absence of the policy has affected coordination and direction in implementing DRRM interventions.
