Geneve — Algeria was elected as a member to the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) on the occasion of the works of the annual meeting of the Union, held from 12 to 16 October in Geneva (Switzerland).
Composed of 17 members, the Executive Committee oversees the administration of the Union and assists the Governing Council. The Executive Committee members are elected for a four-year term.
