THE national football team, Taifa Stars, on Sunday registered their highest victory against a foreign team in as many years when they walloped their Benin counterparts 4-1 in a friendly match held at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The sweet victory against the star-studded West Africans, who had not less than 13 players who ply their wares in Europe, has left Tanzanian soccer fans wondering whether their team has finally hit the proverbial ground running.
