Gambia: Jonathan's Govt Shows Commitment to Tackling Terrorism, Insurgency - Says Ambassador As She Leads Nigeria's Independence Celebrations

The Nigerian ambassador to The Gambia has underscored that the government of President Goodluck Jonathan has shown strong commitment towards tackling the current scourge of terrorism and insurgency that have plagued their country. She said there is no doubt that the journey of 54 years in the life of Nigeria as a nation has been quite challenging considering the recent security challenges, occasioned by activities of terrorists elements who have done the unimaginable to challenge Africa's populous nation as united sovereignty.

Speaking on Monday while leading 54th Independence anniversary celebrations of Nigeria at Cape Point, Baku, Esther John Audu, also the Dean of Diplomatic Corps in The Gambia, assured that the current leadership of her country will not rest until it addressed all the current challenges confronting the nation.
