Former Defence Minister Filipe Nyusi from the ruling Frelimo party is emerging as the winner of Mozambique's presidential race, according to newly-released preliminary results.
He was followed by Afonso Dhlakama, leader of the main opposition Renamo party, according to data provided on Thursday by press centers of some polling stations, mainly in the capital Maputo and the northern province of Nampula.
