Nigeria: Military Bans Hawking, Trading On Damaturu Streets Over Insecurity

Damaturu — THE military has banned "hawking and trading" on the streets of Damaturu and at military posts in Yobe State, saying Boko Haram terrorists disguise to hawk in order to launch attack at civilian and military targets.

According to military sources yesterday in Damaturu, the ban has became inevitable to protect lives and property in the metropolis, as insurgents cash in on the street hawking of goods to perpetrate terrorism.
