Tipasa — Amina Rouba won on Friday the first gold medal for Algeria in the category of senior women (Skiff/lightweight), in the 10th African Rowing Championships (juniors/seniors) which started Thursday morning at the Boukerdène dam in Sidi Amar (Tipasa), with the participation of 109 competitors from 19 countries.
The Algerian athlete clocked 8:19.49, to beat the Egyptian Rashed Fatima, silver medalist (8:27.05) and Tunisian Krimi Khadija who obtained bronze (8:43.54).
