Nigeria: Oseni - Terror Attacks Spurred Our Compassion

19 October 2014

Abuja — The Julie Bekoj Foundation International (JBFI), an NGO founded by Julie Oseni, has made it a responsibility to cater for as many as possible and giving them a second chance in Nigeria. The NGO, which held its annual meeting in Abuja, said its aim was to serve humanity with faith and integrity.

According to Oseni, "The last few years have plunged Nigeria into a dire situation, with terror attacks across the country and the Federal Capital Territory (leading) to loss of lives, displaced persons and children without caretakers". She said 10 victims from the recent Emab Plaza bomb blast were being catered for, and more than 300 widows, orphans and indigent citizens being assisted; adding that in the last two years N24.5 million had been invested into taking care of these set of individuals.
