Nigeria: Respect Ceasefire Deal, Obama Warns FG, Boko Haram

New York — As controversies and doubts trail the ceasefire deal that was at the weekend reached by the federal government and the Boko Haram Sect in order to facilitate the quick release of the over 200 female students that were abducted by the insurgents in Chibok, the United States president, Mr. Barrack Obama, on Tuesday urged all the parties involved to implement the ceasefire deal.

Speaking through the Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department, Ms. Marie Harf, in Washington, DC, President Obama said that it would be a thing of joy for the American government if the federal government and members of the Boko Haram Sect turn in and maintain such a ceasefire.
