Nigeria: Reps Move to Curb Monopoly of DSTV, Others

Members of the House of Representatives yesterday kick-started a move aimed at reducing the monopoly of foreign television and radio service providers in the Nigerian markets.

The lawmakers passed into second reading a bill that seeks to amend the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Act towards providing competition in the broadcast sector of Nigeria.
