Nigeria: AWC - Oshoola Fires Falcons to Canada

Lagos — Asisat Oshoala first half brace ensured that Super Falcons qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada and also the final of the ongoing African Women's Championship (AWC) in Namibia , after beating South Africa 2-1 in the first semi-final of the championship on Wednesday.

The Nigerian put Falcons on victory path with 38 minutes played after collecting a through pass from the midfield. She rouded up a defender and fired a low shot that was deflected into a goal. Seven minutes later, Oshoala again doubled the lead with a cross-cum-shot that looped over South Africa 's goalkeeper, Thokozile Mndaweni.
