Nigeria: Sheikh Gumi to Jonathan - You're Divisive - Drop Your 2015 Reelection Bid

A renowned Nigerian Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to drop his re-election bid, less than 72 hours after he offered a similar warning to a former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari.

In an open letter, similar to the one he wrote Mr. Buhari, Mr. Gumi said President Jonathan has failed as a leader, and stands out as a divisive figure in the country, rather than a unifying rallying point. The letter is posted on his Facebook Page.
