Education is a crucial factor in the socio-economic transformation of any nation. This is because there is no better resource for development than the people for whom development is meant. Education is important in this as it permits people to expand their capacity to think creatively and to formulate development plans and projects. Also, the more educated the people become, the more they take ownership of the development process.

The commissioning of the academic complex of the UTG school of medicine and allied health sciences therefore brings forth the determination of the leadership of the achievement of Vision 2020. This is certain as the best way to clean this country from the relics of poverty is through maximizing the intellectual horizon of her people.
