Africa: Creating a World Fit for Children

Benyam Dawit (LLD) is Chairperson of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child of the African Union and a Vice-Chairperson of the United Nation's Committee on the Rights of the Child in Geneva.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Law at the Community Law Center, University of the Western Cape in South Africa and has continued to lecture and supervise LLM students on a part-time basis at Addis Ababa University College of Law and Governance since 2010. He was born and brought up in Addis Ababa.
