Kenya: 'Oppression' By States Fuels Radicalism, Says COTU Boss

World leaders must interrogate the cause of radicalisation, the Central Organisation of Trade Unions secretary general Francis Atwoli has said.

He said some groups turn radical due to oppression by their governments. "We must examine why there are terrorists and the rise of dissenting groups in many countries," Atwoli said at the Tom Mboya Labour College, Kisumu town, on Thursday.
