Tanzania: China Revive Abolished Protocol in Honour of Kikwete

Beijing — DURING President Jakaya Kikwete's visit to China, the government broke a decade old ban on protocol of providing motorcades to visiting dignitaries, by escorting the president from the airport to a state guesthouse.

This makes President Kikwete the first visiting head of state or government to be honoured by being given a motorcycle escort after the practice was stopped in January 1, 2004.
