NIGERIAN football in recent times has witnessed some setbacks, some of which are the result of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the local coaches' inability to develop a system that would unearth budding stars from all the nooks and crannies of the country,

The emergence of Kelechi Iheanacho, who won the most valuable player award at last year's U-17 Championship in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and his female counterpart, Asisat Oshoala, who achieved the same feat at the Canada 2014 U-20 Women World Cup, as well as the just concluded Africa Women Championship (AWC) in Namibia, has once again shown that the nation has abundant talents roaming the streets waiting to be spotted.
