Algeria to Attend Centennial of First World War Outbreak in Belgium

Nieuwport — Algeria will attend the official ceremonies commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War (1914-1918) held on Tuesday to celebrate the Battle of Yser and the First Battle of Ypres (Belgium), at the invitation of the host country, along with many countries that fought on Belgian soil.

President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, is represented at these commemorative festivities by Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal.
