Nigeria: Ireti Kingibe Picks PDP Senatorial Form, Resigns As Leadership Chairman

Hajiya Ireti Heebah Kingibe, who, until last week, was chairman, LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group, yesterday picked the PDP form for the 2015 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial election.

She resigned from her position at LEADERSHIP in order to pursue her political ambition. Propelled by the plight of Abuja indigenes, Ireti said her desire for political office was to bring succour to less-privileged people in the FCT. She stated that if elected a senator, she would work hard to ensure that the lost glory of the FCT and the green areas were restored and the master plan revisited.
