Beirut — Algerian columnist and novelist Kamel Daoud received Sunday the "Liste Goncourt- le choix de l'Orient" prize for his novel "Meursaut, contre enquête", presented at the 21st Francophone Book Fair in Beirut, local press announced.
The jury chose to distinguish the novel of Kamel Daoud for "the singularity of the subject that presented Mursault, main character of "The Foreigners" by Albert Camus to conduct an inquiry to rehabilitate the victim."
