Mauritius: Mid Commission Signs Agreement On Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Programme

The Trust Fund Agreement for the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) Programme for the manufacturing sector was signed yesterday in Port Louis by the Executive Chairman of the Maurice Ile Durable (MID) Commission, Mr. Osman Mahomed, and the United Nations Development Programme Representative, Mr. Simon Springett. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Asha Burrenchobay, was also present.

This endorsement of the Trust Fund Agreement for RECP follows the signature of the project document last week in Vienna by Mrs. Burrenchobay, and the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Mr Li Yong.
